Meet Mary Kay

Mary Kay Aide

As a life coach, business owner, wife, mother of two and active leader in my professional and faith communities, I really understand the challenges of juggling a multitude of roles and responsibilities. Believe me!

I totally understand how easy it is to put everyone else’s needs before your own. I also understand how detrimental it is for you and those around you if you don’t take care of yourself!

My number one rule:
You are at least as important as everyone else in your life!

My mission is to help you feel confident, happy and proud of yourself, your choices and your life! I believe that the only person that can truly know what’s right for you is YOU. Once you identify your deep personal values and design your life around them, it’s easy to feel good about yourself and your life.

One of the greatest rewards of being a life coach is witnessing the growth and change in my clients’ lives. I’m continually inspired and impressed by women’s strengths, courage and willingness to move forward. After almost 20 years as a counselor/psychotherapist/employee assistance consultant and 4 years at home with small children, I was ready for the next chapter in my life. I was exploring some options when I met a life coach at a conference. After a free session, I was hooked. Coaching is a perfect fit for my background, my mission and my lifestyle needs. I immediately  began my coach training, started my business in 2003 and here I am!

Professional credentials include:

  • Professional Certified Coach (PCC) through the International Coach Federation, the governing and credentialing body for the coaching profession
  • Master’s Degree in Educational Rehabilitation Counseling from UW-Milwaukee
  • Graduate and Certified Life Coach from Institute of Life Coach Training (ILCT)

Memberships:

  • National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO), membership chair, president-elect
  • International Association of Coaches (IAC)
  • International Coach Federation (ICF), past president, outreach chair, program chair

I also love speaking to groups and organizations on various topics around work/life balance and self-care as well as teaching the “coach approach” to managers and organizational leaders.

Personal History:

I grew up in Southwestern Wisconsin and have lived in Madison since 1984. I married my husband, Brett, in 1993 and we have two children, Tyler and Lea. Two cats and an active Welsh Spring Spaniel complete our full (overflowing?) household.

My husband and kids are my most important teachers as they help me practice patience, flexibility and how to give and receive love. I especially enjoy watching my children grow into such lovely human beings with their own interests and passions. I have much to be grateful for.

Please feel free to contact me with any questions or to schedule a FREE introductory session. It’s a great way to see if coaching is right for you and if we are a good fit for each other.

I look forward to the opportunity to help you make every day a spa day!
